A neighborhood bagel shop with a Sarasota history
If you knew this spot as Brooklyn Bagel & Deli, welcome back. It was the first of our stores to become Buddy’s, named after Buddy Koffman, the father who took his kids into New York City for bagels. Our menu comes from Lox & Egg Bagel Company, a Sarasota favorite for about 20 years, and many of those original recipes are still made here every day.
What to order
- Bagels: Plain, Everything, Asiago, Bialy, Cinnamon Raisin, and more, by the single, half dozen, or baker’s dozen
- Breakfast: The Brooklyn Tradition, Steak, Egg & Cheese, the Western Bagel, or The New Yorker Plate with eggs and home fries, just to name a few.
- Lunch: The Lower East Side Reuben, The Carnegie Deli with pastrami, a tuna melt, or Nova smoked salmon on your favorite bagel, and several other delicious choices.
- Spreads: Fresh-made cream cheese in flavors like scallion, veggie, honey walnut, and lox spread
